Achilles Tendon Rupture: Squeeze Test
During a clinical encounter while on PA training rotations, I managed have my camera handy. This is a breakdown of the Simmonds or Thompson Squeeze test.
It is a simple test the can be used in the field for fairly definitive diagnosis of a ruptured Achilles tendon. The test is 96% sensitive and 93% specific. Take care out there...
